Standard Superintendent Company Limited employs and maintains manpower resources at a level sufficient to handle operations at any operational locations nationwide. SSCL employs and maintains a staff strength that ensures that each end of any custody transfer operation is attended to by at least one inspector.
SSCL employs field personnel with relevant professional experience. As a matter of Company Policy, SSCL does not engage or use casual workers to attend to her clients Superintendence jobs, given the enormity and criticality of the issues at stake in the transactions.

Young Ekoh Chukwu is a seasoned professional in the areas of Cargo Surveying/Marine cargo inspection and superintendence. He has over 30 years work experience in the cargo inspection industry, having worked as P & I Club, North of England Surveyor in Societe Generale De Surveilance (SGS), where he worked for 12 years, started as Field Clerk (Cargo Inspector – 1985) and rose through the ranks to the position of SGS Calabar Branch Manager (1990 – 1997) and later Admin/Logistics. Manager, SGS Industrial Division in NLNG Bonny Island, Phase 1 & 11 (NDT) Project before leaving in October 1998. Thereafter, he joined General Marine and Oil Services Limited (GMO) in 1999 as one of its’ Operations Management Team member. He served as the Company’s Commercial and Operations’ Manager for seven (7) years before exiting in October, 2007. During his sojourn with GMO, he trained personnel on draft survey, liquid and dry bulk survey, co-ordinated cargo inspection activities of the Company (Execution of Contracts of Nigerian Breweries Plc Dry Bulk Cargoes survey, Unilever Plc, NPA, North West Bulk Liquid Cargoes, Keribert Containerized Cargo Survey contracts, etc). He also trained Cargo Surveyors while in SGS. Mr. Chukwu holds Higher National Diploma (HND) in Maritime Transport (Shipping/Port Management), Diploma in Business Administration of University of Calabar (UNICAL), An Associate graduate of Certified Institute of Shipping of Nigeria (ACIS).A member of Energy Institute (EI) UK, Guild of Marine Surveyors (GMS) of Nigeria and a DUPONT/TSKJN trained personnel on Safety Training Observation Program (STOP). He also has attended many professional courses/workshops and seminars in the maritime industry, including training obtained from ABSOLUTE BME SDN BND of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Advanced Industrial Applications and Operations of Fluid Measurement Instrumentation; Pipeline Integrity Management & Corrosion Prevention conducted by CapSource of Malaysia at Maputo, Mozambique among others. He is also a Fellow of Institute of Management Consultant (FIMC) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC). He took over the management of this company, Standard Superintended Company Limited in November 2007 and oversees the Company’s day-to-day activities as the Managing Director.

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER, OPERATIONS

Agha Kalu Agha is a seasoned professional in the areas of cargo surveying/marine cargo inspection and superintendence. He has over (12) years experience in Oil and Gas Inspection, containerized cargo and bulk dry cargo survey and cargo quantity reconciliations. He had his mandatory one year Industrial Training with the General Marine and Oil Services Limited (GMO) where he was exposed to crude oil transfer operations from Chevron to PPMC Escravos, PPMC Escravos to WRPC, from 2001 - 2002. He joined GMO Services Limited on permanent appointment in 2005 and worked till early 2009. He served in GMO in different capacities as a Petroleum Officer and Team Leader in different locations in Lagos. He later joined Standard Superintendence Company Limited in 2009 where he is currently the Assistant General Manager, Operations of the Company overseeing the bulk liquid cargo, bulk dry cargo, containerized cargo and general cargo survey. Mr. Agha holds Masters Degree in Transport Management (Shipping and Maritime) and a post graduate Diploma (PGD) from LadokeAkintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomosho, a Higher National Diploma (HND) from Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu. He is a Member of Guild of Marine Surveyors (GMS), the Institute of Petroleum and Energy Marketers of Nigeria (MIPEM), Energy Institute (EI) UK and an Associate of the Certified Institute of shipping of Nigeria (ACIS). He has also attended many Seminars/Workshops on Safety, Petroleum Inspection, Loss Control, Pre-shipment Inspection, Stock Monitoring, Control, Container Inspection and among others.

Okwu Omaka is a renowned Accountant with more than 15 (fifteen) unbroken years’ experience in the Accounting profession cutting across clearing and forwarding, insurance, Oil & Dried Cargo Superintendent companies and construction industries. He was formally the Head, Accounts of a renowned construction giant based in the Niger Delta of Nigeria, Monier Construction Company Nigeria Limited. He has expertise in Financial reporting, Tax planning/management and efficient cost control. He is presently at the professional level (Final) of ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) qualifying exam, apart from being a student member of Institute of Chartered Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He holds MBA in Banking and Finance, B.Sc. in Accounting from the Rivers State University of Technology. He is the Head, Accounts and Finance department of the company.

Ibeh Princewill Onya, holds Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy Federal Polytechnic, Unwana -Afikpo, Ebonyi State. He served (NYSC) at Community Secondary School, ido, Buguma L.G.A, Rivers State as a tutor. He had his industrial training in Afikpo North L.G.A, as Accounts’ clerk. He also worked with Tran tell Communication Nigeria Limited, Nnewi Branch as Accounts’ Officer before joining Standard Superintendent Company Limited in November, 2010 as Senior Accounts/Administrative Officer, overseeing Accounts and Administrative Departments. He has attended many professional courses in different areas in accounting/ finance including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS Comprehensive 1 & 2) which has expanded his horizon of experience. He is now redesigned to oversee the Administrative and Human Resource (HR) department of the company.

Gladys Chioma (Mrs) is a trained chemist. She holds a HND in Science and Laboratory Technology from Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana, respectively. She had worked with NNPC at Lagos Zonal office during her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and later, joined General Marine Oil Service Ltd. (GMO) between 2014 – 2008 as Laboratory Analyst. Her core responsibility was analysis of petroleum products. She also worked for Zenon Petroleum and Gas Nigeria Limited as Laboratory Manager between 2008- 2012 and later joined Standard Superintendent in 2013 as our Laboratory Manger overseeing all laboratory activities.

Babatunde Peter Adeisiyan holds B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from Enugu Stata University and Certificate in Shipping and Export Management, from Ondo State Polytechnic respectively. He has worked with Global Investment and Communication Limited as Operation Officer, Research and Marketing Service Limited as a field interviewer and Technology Equipment Plc as an Agriculturist. A trained Marine Cargo Surveyor. He later joined Standard Superintendent Company Limited as a Cargo Superintendent where he has been extensively exposed to Marine Cargo Survey.

Kelly Uchenna Okereke holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Project Management Technology from Federal University of Technology, Owerri and graduated with a Second class upper division in Project management. He has also obtained different certificates of proficiency in fields such as Proficiency Certificate on Management (NIM) and also he is a Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM). He also has a certificate in Basic Safety and Fire Fighting. He is currently the Assistant Manager, Documentation and Report Processing of the company.

She holds Pitman Institute, London Certificate, Computer and NABTEB certificates and has also attended Management courses/workshops for Secretaries/Personal Assistants. Luke Idowu Sunday a chemist by training holds a first degree (B.Sc.) in Applied Chemistry from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. He served (NYSC) at Hope International College, Katsina and worked in Visa Foam NIGERIA Plc, Ikeja, as Chemical Analyst between 2004 and 2008, before joining Standard Superintendent Company Limited as a chemist. He is currently the Assistant Laboratory Manager of the company.

He has worked in diverse I.T Field which includes working as a Computer System Analyst at Dataword Computers and Contractors, Anambra State. He also has worked as a Business Development Officer/System Technician at Blue-Con Subsea Ltd (Oil and Gas) Eleganza Gardens, Opposite VGC, Lekki and Currently the Technical Assistant of the Company.
